A writer shoots a film star at a festival. Shortly afterwards the writer dies too, whereupon they both end up in a luxurious hotel.
A famous movie actor (Peter O'Toole) claims that he has written a book. As result, a real author, not a very well-known one, vengefully kills him, but the dies in an accident. The pair subsequently find themselves in the afterlife, where the souls of famous people gather.
