DeMaré: A Sensory Journey to the Depths of the Ocean - Emila Sánchez Chiquetti

DeMaré: a Sensory Journey to the Depths of the Ocean that was selected for the Immersive Experience MIFA Pitches at Annecy, has won the Anidox XR Residency Prize. With the award comes a 4 weeks residency at The Animation Workshop (Viborg, Denmark) and a 1,000 EUR investment in the development of an animated documentary XR project.

Demaré, the XR project in development, is directed by Emila Sánchez Chiquetti and co-produced by Film Arcades. The work combines scientific research and artisanal fishing knowledge to raise awareness about marine conservation. By embodying marine animals and experiencing their sensory worlds, participants delve into the archetype of "home", and the global interdependence of oceans.
