THE MAYOR follows Femke Halsema throughout 2025, a pivotal year for the Netherlands, for Amsterdam, and for Halsema herself.

Amsterdam is a city of contrasts, and Femke Halsema has made it her mission to bring its people closer together. But how do you unite a city in increasingly polarised times? In The Mayor, we follow Halsema closely throughout 2025 as she moves between political pressure, public scrutiny and personal conviction, searching for common ground.
