The camera never leaves the consulting room: it sits where the doctor sits, and everyone looks us straight in the eye. Hopeful results alternate with setbacks, and practical questions become entangled with existential ones. The oncologist listens with empathy but can offer few certainties. One question keeps pressing: how much longer?
